Ok, so I think it has been a little while since the last blog, so with the holiday season quickly upon us, I figured I will add just one more task to accomplish. So, here goes the second and probably the last post of the year, but you never know!
Things to keep in mind during the long holiday season when it comes to training, racing, and overall fitness. Be smart about training, take some time for the family, eat some food that you do not normally eat during peak training season, and get some rest. You will be amazed how much you can accomplish if you just cut back training for a few days, in terms of muscle/injury recovery. With that said, now is the time to come into the office, let us take you thru a series of functional screens to better acesss potential areas where injuries could occur.
Our next topic will be a little discussion on functional strength, and how we test an individual. With that information, we can then prescribe a training program to address those problem areas, which will then help to stabilize the area and help to keep you from coming to see us on a regular basis!
Happy Holidays,
Dr. Matt
